ABOUT RABBIT RIDGE

Nestled in my backyard studio in Biggersville, Mississippi, each piece I create is thoughtfully handcrafted with the hope of bringing beauty, warmth, and joy into your home. My pottery is hand-built using the slab method, allowing every vessel to develop its own unique character and personality- each creation is “perfectly imperfect.” No two pieces are ever the same. I carefully select earthy, coordinating glazes inspired by the natural beauty of the Mississippi landscape and the comforting colors of home.

My love for ceramics began when I was a little girl, and working with clay has remained a lifelong passion. Nothing brings me greater happiness than knowing that one of my handmade pieces has found a special place in someone else’s life.

​

 

In addition to pottery, I create candles poured into my handcrafted vessels using premium wax, generous fragrance loads, and natural wood wicks that provide a warm, crackling ambiance. Each candle is designed to be enjoyed long after the flame has gone out, with the vessel serving as a lasting piece of functional art.

​

 

As a proud Mississippi artist, I enjoy incorporating pieces of our state’s beauty, traditions, and spirit into my work. While I spend my professional life working full-time in higher education, creativity has always been an essential part of who I am. I hold a Master of Arts degree from The University of Mississippi and a doctoral degree in education from Delta State University. My faith and family are the two most important things in my life. I am married to Brad, we have four beautiful children and four precious grandchildren. They are all my world and what inspire me every day!
